FA: Tala Valkov (2008)

I refound my love for Beyblade and fell in love with this character. I don't remember Finnish television airing the last episodes of season 1 nor 2 an here is no record whatsoever about the third. Tala was a character that appeared as the villain's pawn in the first and as rival and an ally. Russian of course. I have actually cosplayed him (2010) and that picture will appear here eventually. I had two screencaps for these. He is created by Aoki Takao.

TP: Mask (2008)

A mask I made during art class, it actually qualified for an exhibition. The highlights are made with graphite/coal. Teacher was rather surprised about the way I used the coal wit it. This caught the attention of my fiancée before we really met. Gouache, charcoal, size A3.

FA: Beyblades (2008)

Designed a bunch of Beyblades during art class. I simply drew the outlines of my own Beyblades, Galzzly (twice, other with the second attack ring too), Phantom Dranzer S and Wolborg (my favorite)

J: Butterfly - Yellow Jewel - Emerald Eye - Moon Leaves (2008)

Not the best images of my simplistic circlet, but it'll do. Plastic beads/diamonds and some plastic-y tube like yarn, it has golden thread inside.

Butterfly
This was an interesting one, actually made between 2008-2009, the origami paper I used for the wings was bought from Spain. One detail came loose at some point, since they are attached with glitter glue. It wasn't really good brand. When attaching something, cheap-ass glitter glue just isn't the way to go... Aluminium wire, metal wire...

Moon Leaves
I tried to create the pair for this from golden wires, but the metal wire darkened and the glitter glue was horrible. This has acrylic diamonds and photopaper pieces colored with gel pens.

Emerald Eye
A brooch I made with aluminium wire, metal wire, all kinds of glues and an acrylic diamond. The actual brooch part isn't attached, but maybe one day when I buy a suitable part.

TD: Blue Dragon (2008)

Scraping technique. I refound my love for this all of a sudden. I had a model for the dragon, but still. Blue gouache (?) at the bottom, white wax pastel crayon. The reason I like crayons is the ability to color smooth and bright surfaces. I'm a big sucker for clear colors. I scraped this with a needle, wiped the excess with an old watercolor brush.
