Also tested out the Derwent Inktense pencils that arrived in the mail. I bought them last year, but never used them, so gramps now sent them to me and I tested them out with and without a liquid silk paint. Works like a dream, I can't wait to actually do it now... And tomorrow I start shortening my work for the summer and work on a yet another couch. Yippee...

WIP Final Rise of Phoenixe Imperiale (2014)
Welp, got more ideas from the teacher today and I actually liked them. The main material I'd use is cotton, simple white cotton, but the embroidery isn't quite enough for it, so she suggested I put some filing beneath the phoenix to make it rise up and become 3D. I like the idea. Also she said I should try how silk looks on top of cotton. Tested and it would make it look more fiery with the sheen. Basically, I would applicate the phoenix over the icy background. I REALLY am starting to like the idea and tomorrow will be used on testing it out, I have an unused (barely) piece of silk I was gonna paint, but since it turned out shit, I can use the piece elsewhere. I also need to get a slightly smaller copy.
Photo taken with school's camera (which hates my guts) and edited a bit to get the colors correct.

WIP: Final rise of Phoenixe Imperiale (2014)

On the sidenote, I hate official writing.

Nemesis by Gyula Havanscak. I want to get the same fiery effect to the phoenix as on this.
These were the inspirations to the phoenix and by heavens I love fire. I love also ice.
Below are the inspiring pictures and the blowing ice down there is the major influence on the background.

I'm not gonna deny, also Pokémon is a good influence on Phoenixe's look and making an ice version is also rather tempting, but maybe later I'll make a reversed version. Ice phoenix in front of a burning background.
And this is how the current model fares. I've sharpened the colors and gonna color it whole tonight, it's gonna be a therapy of sorts.

Weaving: The Big Three (2013-2014)
TOP MODEL: Dixarara Nightmask WIP (2014)
Just a quick version I made and then glued reprint cutouts on the dress, making it seem silky instead of cotton or something. The Nightmask matriarch most likely hasn't looked this pretty since her wedding day, I suppose. I made the original in max 2 hours for my portfolio of the wall tapestry, which is ready for evaluation, btw.
Schoolwork: Redoing a livingroom (2014)
This was a school assignment. Take a room and redo it as a customer wishes so. This time, the customer was me and my fiancée and the room was the livingroom/kitchen of my grandparent's house. We had to draw a floor and wall plans in scale and in color.
Of course I wanted to get rid of the disgusting and boring pastel yellow walls and the even grey floor paint. Few things cannot be changed and I just took away the huge cupboard from the corner, since it needs new paintjob, obviously. I wanted at least one black wall and the sparkly Arctic paint called Kemi (oh the irony) is just what I needed. Slightly opaque. Also the oven wall loses the yellow and is gonna be all black. The brown wall covering on the sink wall also flies, I'm not that big fan of retro shit, having grown up among it really irritates me. Anyway, despite I like yellow, all the pastel yellows go to hell. The floor is still grey, this time charcoal grey, but I want the previous paint layers off so the natural wood shows from the planks.
I've edited this to get the colors to match with GIMP, which has turned out to be useful at times. The shelves and some of the other furniture are from Ikea, since it's cheap. I kinda want blinds on the windows or thick curtains, since the sun shines in from every window.
The cupboards will be purple and I picked the Rojo ceramic mosaic walls. I also want a table with benches, it makes it easier to move around. I also added a glass table, which I've always wanted, though it's scary to have one, considering my clumsiness.
The white doors also go and in comes bright red. Red and black are my favorites besides bright yellow.
