This is supposed to be a draft for the next course I have. I'm supposed to make a relief that has a meaning for me. Well, I drew this based on my another phoenix drawing. Once again, tattoo/tribal style. Dunno, these kinda drawings work for me, I don't need to be that accurate with everything, because I can spend hours on details. Seriously. These are rather quick to do and they look hella neat. Decided to leave this without color, so I can get a copy and work on levels. I have a lot of work to do...

This is Halloween (2013) WIP
This is still work in progress, I'm out of idea what to put there. I can't leave it like this though. Graah! This will also eventually be on sale.
TD: Lady in Turquose (2013)
This was an interesting project. I used a model from Drawing Shojo of different nationalities and this was ancient... indian? Anyway, I had my fiancée pose for me too. I'm kinda pleased with this, only problem is I forgot how the fabric folds and that digs me still. I'm happy with the hair though. And the gold jewelry, though they could have more shine in them. Maybe her facial features a tad bit too Caucasoid to my taste.

Marker hand (2013)
Couch cover (2013)
The final work was in three parts. First, we had to look for a painting that pleased our eye with the colors. I chose an ancient Egyptian painting of a vulture from someone's tomb. Then, we needed to take the colors and create something of our own, something that could be from our respective lines of work. I wanted to keep the vulture, but no. Even the stripes are from there. And the balls. I guess I'm too neurotic for this.
Anyways, we had to keep the proportions of colors, hence the black-blue (which my camera blew again) being dominant. We had to then paint that, either with gouache/watercolors, or acrylics. I obviously went for the acrylics and cried blood how others treated the paints and the brushes. Also flipped off when they shook our desks.
The third part was to show a new side of the said design and place it in a normal environment.
I chose to depict the corner, which shows it has more of that clay red, close up of the fuzzy ball and of course, our cat.

Painted from photo (2013)
The original photo was taken by Ian Cameron, he takes wonderful pictures, I actually had two of his photos as options, but teacher and I came to a conclusion this had more challenge over bluescale winter picture. This was hard as hell and believe me, looks better from afar and without the model image. Acrylics on watercolor paper.
Abstract Star Trek style (2013)
Random ass name, I don't like Star Trek, I'm more of Star Wars kinda girl. Anyway, we had to make an abstract painting with different shades. We were told to plan it carefully. I didn't. This isn't even close to my original plan, I just painted slabs with minimal attempt to make it look like a tunnel. Failed, but I don't care. Honestly, I simply don't care.
Halloween table (2013)
This is the last pencil work. I like the results sometimes, but after a week of greyscale, my mind was screaming for colors. We got a homework. We had to draw a random nook of our house/apartment and draw it with the grid. I didn't use the grid and to be honest, the image is from the depths of Google Search.
Shadowed Chair (2013)
Another pencil work, we also had to use the grid, but with my wobbly left hand, it's nearly impossible to nail it, so most of this is once again, straight from my view instead of usage of the grid.
Greyscale Hand (2013)
This was a bitch. My hand, once again, as you probs can tell from the nails, if you know me at all. Also, we used a transparent sheet and with one eye closed, drew the outlines and drew with the grid. We had 4-square grid, I used half of it, I can't think inside the box, I always think outside the box. We colored the background to mid-grey before tackling this. Well, it's a bit better then the previous one.
